En 1972 François Truffaut tourne la scène du rêve en noir et blanc de « La nuit américaine » devant les grilles de l’Olympia. Un film sur la cinéphilie au croisement de la petite et la grande histoire du cinéma.

My mother, when she was little, lay down on the ground to watch films through a small hole in the emergency door of the Olympia cinema in Nice. In 1972 François Truffaut shot the dream scene in black and white of «The American Night» in front of the gates of the Olympia. A film about disapearance of movie theater and cinephilia at the crossroads of the small and the great history of cinema.
