Série de six anthotypes, 20x30cm, 2021.
Ces anthotypes représentent la décomposition en six images d’un coucher de soleil. Le soleil est à la fois l’élément d’apparition de l’image mais aussi la source d’une possible disparition de celle-ci. Ces tirages uniques nous rappellent que chaque levé ou couché de soleil est unique. Les techniques anciennes comme l’anthotype ou le chlorophylotype me permettent de questionner le regard du spectateur et ses attentes face à un support photographique instable. L’éphémérité de ces procédés implique que l’image peut se transformer, disparaître. Elle est une forme mouvante, sensible à l’environnement dans lequel elle évolue (luminosité, humidité, température…). Ces images vivantes prennent le contrepied de l’image figé et reproductible.

These anthotypes represent the breakdown into six images of a sunset. The sun is both the element of appearance of the image but also the source of its possible disappearance. These unique prints remind us that each sunrise or sunset is unique. Old techniques such as the anthotype or the chlorophylotype allow me to question the spectator’s gaze and his expectations in the face of an unstable photographic support. The ephemerality of these processes implies that the image can be transformed, disappear. It is a moving form, sensitive to the environment in which it evolves (luminosity, humidity, temperature, etc.). These living images are the opposite of the frozen and reproducible image.
